JobRouter - JobData Module

Easily manage master data

Easily integrate master data into your processes and archives - work consistently and efficiently.

Numerous JobRouter processes access different master data for reading or writing. Many different master data tables are used in automated business processes. These could be customer or supplier data to be displayed in a dialog, or GL codes to be selected in an AP process. It would also be possible to create an approval matrix in the form of a table, which could be used to identify decision-makers - directly in the workflow. For all these purposes, tables must be created, edited and maintained.

With JobData, JobRouter® offers a module that performs these tasks very simply using one management interface. Any number of tables can be created and user access to view or maintain data can be defined. All functions are seamlessly integrated into the user administration and rights system of the JobRouter platform.

JobData offers the following features

  • Creation and editing tables using the JobRouter interface
  • No prior database knowledge necessary
  • Management of tables in any database
  • Easy data maintenance using the JobData maintenance form
  • Integration in the JobRouter rights system
  • Access and maintenance of tables without utilization of additional tools
  • Recording of all actions

Create and edit tables

In the past, only process designers with database knowledge could create and control data management tables. JobData changes all that. An easy-to-use interface now allows users with no previous database knowledge to quickly create and edit their own tables. Of course, existing tables can also be selected as a source and managed without having to create a new one. Each table can contain any number of columns, using the standard field types supported in JobRouter® - text, date fields, decimal numbers, etc. In addition, key fields can be defined and restrictions can be specified.

Simple data maintenance

Using an administration interface, JobRouter users can easily insert, edit or delete records in JobData tables. This means that data maintenance is no longer performed solely by the administrator or process designer, but can also be easily transferred to departments. From now on, all users are free to search for data records quickly and easily and to edit them if necessary.

Access control with JobData

Table access can be restricted using specific JobData profiles assigned to users by role. This makes it very easy to control each users rights - and see what tables they can access and which rights they have. It is also possible to limit tables views and only release a specific portion for editing or limit the selection to certain data records. (e.g. only customers from a certain region)

Excel export and import

Users with access to data management can easily export data records from a table as Excel files for further processing, to carry out evaluations for example. But it is also possible to import data records. If an Excel file is uploaded, the columns are linked to the target table so that data records can be quickly imported into JobRouter®.

Table transfers

It is also be possible to exchange tables between JobRouter systems, from the test system to the production system for example. JobData offers a simple function to export tables as a file and import them into another system. If required, all data records can be imported in addition to the table structure. This makes work much easier for process designers.

Integration in processes with the JobData system activity

With the JobData system activity, you can easily integrate your JobData tables into your processes without needing database knowledge. Functions such as adding, changing and deleting records are easy to select, while JobData fields are just as easy to link to workflow data. Of course, any changes made to the records in this way are also saved in the new change log.
